Lab work

Our in house lab allows us to conduct immediate and complete bloodwork and get results within <30 minutes.

Red and white blood cell count
Liver and kidney values (as well as many more organ specific values)

SDMA (early indicator for kidney insufficiency)
Urine analysis as well as swabs are usually examined under our own microscope
For further, more specific analysis (such as biopsies, parasitology, bacteriology etc.) we like to call in expert advice from Laboklin and IDEXX Diavet.

RadiologY

We own one of the latest full body digital X-rays to perform state of the art radiological examinations mostly of the skeleton in case of illness or injury.

Our digital dental X-ray allows us to diagnose pathologies early on in dental disease and initiate appropriate treatment to save as many teeth and avoid as much pain as possible.

In dental disease we only see what is going on at the level of the tooth crown, which is usually just the tip of the iceberg. Most lesions and painful pathologies lay below the gum line and can only be visualized by dental x-rays. This is why a thorough dental exam and full mouth radiographs have become essential in veterinary dentistry.

Pharmacy

Our own practice pharmacy in most cases allows us to directly hand you the prescribed medication for immediate treatment start.

We offer a broad spectrum of the most commonly used medications such as:

Painkillers / anti-inflammatory medications (steroidal or nonsteroidal)
Antibiotics (which according to law will be registered in the IS ABV database)
Medications to support gastro-intestinal health
Thyroid hormones
Deworming
Flea/Tick prevention/treatment
Various supplements for joint, GI and urinary tract health

Surgery

We have two operating theaters available to perform sterile as well as non-sterile surgeries. Routine operations (such as neutering, dental work, tumor excisions etc.) will take place here. Thanks to our state of the art dental X-ray and dental unit as well as our special interest in dental health, we do offer dentistry at a very high standard of quality.

Hospitalisation

For patients who need additional care and supervision and therefore need to stay with us for a little longer (e.g. for perfusions or to recover after surgeries or severe illness) we have special accommodation available.

Dogs and cats stay in separate premises to lower stress levels amongst different species. Consequently we hope for them to recover as quickly as possible.

For dogs there is a green relief area in the garden available.
